What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

"In school I was president of my 4-H club and in FFA and my state’s Junior Angus Association. That should give you a good picture of my high school self. I only had one romantic relationship in high school. It was with a female classmate and it lasted from my sophomore year until after graduation."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?
"I confess that I wasn’t really a porn fan. I’ve always preferred reading erotic fiction to watching people fuck, but I’m so happy there are people who like to watch fucking, because I love being in porn."

What kind of scene have you found is your favorite kind to do so far?
"I started out doing bondage scenes and I still love that. I also love intense, rough anal scenes. I love to end up dazed and covered in my own drool with my strip lashes stuck to my forehead. I like looking at photos or trailers of those scenes and thinking, 'who in the hell is that growling gremlin with the gaping butthole?'"

What/who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?
"Pee. I’m a little gross. I know that there are issues with putting pee in porn, but I like pee. My dream scene is a gangbang, followed by me getting covered in pee, but I could live with just one dude peeing on me in a really good fucking scene… or peeing into my gaping ass and in my mouth and… Did I mention I’m a little gross?"

Who is your favorite performer to work with so far and why?
"In the last year I have gotten to work with several kind, patient, interesting people who are also really fun to have sex with.

That said Derrick Pierce comes to mind. He was my scene partner for my second regular porn shoot (not bondage) which was for Devil's Film. When all I’d done were bondage scenes, a normal porn set felt alien. I can be extremely shy and I didn’t know anyone. I looked and felt lost and I was shaking like one of those teacup Chihuahuas that are always nervous and cold. He has a calming presence and he’s super fun to work with. We’ve also done some really intense BDSM work together.

Manuel Ferrara is so wonderful, dreamy, and dashing (I know I talk like an old lady lounging on a pool chair). I definitely enjoy a scene most when I feel sexy and pretty and he makes me feel beautiful. The more fucked up looking I get as the scene progresses, the prettier he convinces me I am. By the end I’ll be strutting about like a puffed-up peacock, convinced that I am the most stunning creature on the planet. That is, until I go to the bathroom with my sweaty face and running makeup, look in the mirror, and see the rabid, road kill raccoon that I have actually become.

After naming two people, I find myself wanting to list five or six other, and that sort of defeats the questions doesn’t it? Most of the people I have had the opportunity to work with have been fabulous."

You respond to your fans a lot on Twitter. What do you like most about talking to your fans on social media?

"I love my fans. I’m not a big name or anything close to it, but it’s still really weird to me that I have any fans at all. 'My fans' is not a thing I ever thought I would say."

How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?
"I moved to Costa Rica and was a teacher for almost five years after I finished earning my bachelor’s degree, but I wanted to try bondage. I submitted a model application and started with Insex.com during one of my breaks from work when I was visiting friends in California. I wanted professionals who knew what they were doing to tie me up. I also figured that in the interest of protecting their reputation, they probably wouldn’t lock me in a box in the basement like some of the people I could have met online might do. It all spiraled from there, I suppose."

What do you most want to achieve in the industry?
"I just want to continue to do what I enjoy and hopefully getting better as I gain more experience."

What is one thing you would teach a woman who wanted to be a better sexual partner?
"It seems like we women are socialized to consider our own orgasms as secondary to a male partner’s, but I’ve never met a man who doesn’t love to get his sex partner off. If you want something from the guy you’re fucking, speak up even if you think it’s weird. If it means giving you an earth-shattering orgasm, a guy will happily take your requests like he’s a strip club DJ and you are the only girl tipping. He already appreciates the fact that you are hosting his dick inside your body so don’t worry about boring him with your needs or asking him to work. Think of your orgasm as his version of offering you a hostess gift. He really wants to give it to you."

What do you love most about being in porn?
"I’ve gotten to know some of the most interesting, unique, and wonderful people I’ve ever met. Also banging. That’s fun too."

What do you think are “must-have” DVDs for your fans?
"I really like my scene in 'MILF Private Fantasies 3' from Jules Jordan Video directed by Manuel Ferrara. There’s also a DVD out by Evil Angel titled 'Oil Slick', directed by Chris Streams. It features a bunch of amazing talent and my first double anal scene."

What do you like to do for fun?
"I like to do almost anything outside. I also love being around animals. I have dogs that I take everywhere with me, so I always have someone to hike, play, and cuddle with."

What are your favorite fetishes to explore on camera?
"I periodically pick favorite things that I fixate on for a time before latching on to something else. Lately it’s been feet. I love having my head stepped on and sometimes a guy will get his toes really close to my mouth and I just have to try licking them while he’s fucking me. Male feet, female feet, queer feet, it doesn’t matter. I’m in a foot phase."

Who are your role models in porn?
"Mercedes Carrera is so gracious and likeable. She’s also a great performer, exceptionally beautiful and really wonderful to work with. The last time I worked with her we talked quite a lot and I find myself wanting to be more like her."

What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?
"I really liked 'The Incredibles 2' actually. I love children’s movies like that. They are so full of fun and humor and I always leave the theater feeling good."

How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?
"Over the last year I have porn-searched terms or descriptions used in the information that I read on call sheets that I’ve received. I want to clarify what something means because I feel too shy to ask and I’m afraid to look stupid. That’s when I see the most porn. There are also female performers in my age range that I sometimes watch to get a better idea of how to go about seducing my fictional stepchildren (because that’s basically most of what I do). Porn for education."

What is coming up for you?
"It seems like convention time is already sneaking up on me as I know the next few months will fly by and frankly, I’m just planning to be more social and less nervous and sweaty. I’m a little shy and I do well enough at faking it when I have to (sometimes), but last year I felt extremely challenged at these big events. I will probably go to the XBIZ Awards and am certainly going to be in Las Vegas for the Adult Entertainment Expo and probably as many of the associated events leading up to that as possible. If I can manage to not duck under a table and hide from everyone at any point in all this intense socialization, I’m going to give myself a trophy. It will be made of papier-mâché. There will be lots of glitter on it."

If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be?
"John Oliver."

What single piece of advice would you give a brand new female performer?
"I’ve never been asked for porn advice and I’m pretty sure I’m not qualified to give advice on being good at this job as I still feel super new, but I will say this: Be prepared for rejection. That sounds kind of negative, but it’s going to happen. It’s going to hurt. You’re probably going cry about it.

Don’t get mad about someone not wanting to shoot you (or not wanting to shoot you twice). It’s probably not your fault if they don’t like you, but it isn’t their fault either. It sucks. It’s life. Sometimes life sucks a little.

Rejection can be direct or indirect (maybe someone doesn’t say no to you, they just never book you), but it always hurts to some degree. There are some people who seem to be able to please everyone, but for the other 99.9% of us, we can’t all be the right mold for everyone’s cheese. When faced with rejection, don’t freak out, give away your stuff, decide nobody wants to see you naked (a thought I often have to battle), and move to the nunnery right away. Hearing “no” (or just being ignored) a few times is rough, but there’s still plenty of “yes” in the future. You can’t make everyone happy, but some people will think you’re great (as long as you keep showing up when you are supposed to, act like a pleasant human being, don’t complain about your hangover). When faced with rejection, remind yourself of those directors that keep having you back and who sing your praises to others. You are liked.

If that stops working, things slow down, you get bored, or are just tired of thinking about whether someone will like you are not, then move into the woods with a pack of dogs, ride a donkey, and wear a cloak made out of dirty bird feathers you picked up off the ground. Oh sorry, that’s just my plan. You can do whatever you want. For the moment though, have fun and don’t think about what other people think too much. Also, don’t look at yourself when you have been crying, especially if you are wearing makeup. When we ladies really let ourselves sob, we become the human equivalent of a bag of restaurant trash that has been lit on fire. That’s not helpful. Avoid mirrors."
