"Disco Medley (the whole thing, it’s like 7 minutes long) LIVE at the Astrodome" by Selena: As a little girl growing up in Texas, every girl wanted to be Selena. When I’m ever in a bad mood or having a hard day I put this song on. It makes me realize I should be lucky I’m alive and fuck it, have fun.
"Kiss" by Prince: This is another one that I grew up listening to. I think I have a correlation with things from my childhood that made me happy. I have memories of singing along with Julia Roberts in the tub in Pretty Woman to this song.
"Time to Pretend" by MGMT: This song makes me feel super happy. No idea why. It’s an instant smile.
"Heartbreaker" by Mariah Carey featuring Jay-Z: This is my jam. I feel like in a lot of ways I get called a man-eater or heartbreaker. So I love Mariah and this song and it's even better with Jay-Z.
"Guinevere" by Eli Young Band: This song is literally about me. When I hear it, I get sad but it inspires me to be like "damn, look at how far you’ve come, by YOUR damn self". I got to where I am today because of me. This song relates to me on so many levels, but honestly, I feel like it was written about me and my life.
