Charlize Theron Goes Full James Bond in “Atomic Blonde”

This Is Going to Be One of the Best Movies of the Year

One of the most anticipated movies of 2017, in my humble opinion, is Atomic Blonde (2017). I could go on and on and on about the reasons why a Charlize Theron spy/action/thriller is so awesome, but really, the only reason you need be excited is because she was so excited to make out with Sofia Boutella.

We are talking straight James Bond here - the super spy gets the super hottie in bed, and that is no doubt going to be one of the hottest scenes of the year. But why hear it from me when you can hear the excitement from Charlize Theron herself?

“I just loved it,” Theron tells Variety in this week’s cover story. “For so many reasons: My frustration of how that community is represented in cinema, or lack thereof. And also, it made perfect sense. It just suited her. It just felt there was a way through that relationship and the fact that it was a same-sex relationship to show a woman not having to fall in love, which is one of those female tropes. ‘It’s a woman; she better fall in love — otherwise, she’s a whore!’”

“James Bond doesn’t have such hot you-know-what,” she says. “I loved that we didn’t hide under the sheets.” She takes a beat. “Now I’m generalizing. I haven’t seen a lot of the Bond movies lately. I’m sure there’s a lot of hot sex in it.”

The more I hear and read about this movie, the more excited I get. July 28 won't get here soon enough. I seriously don't know how much longer I'm going to make it.
