Man, Jacky St. James is having a kick ass time right now! The Showtime series that she directed, "Submission", debuts on May 12th and she has two movies up for XRCO Awards ("The Father Figure" and "The Submission of Emma Marx—Boundaries") along with receiving a Best Director nomination. Here is what she listens to while making all of that great, dirty stuff:

1. "A Fifth of Beethoven: Often heard during football season—it is the ONLY song I ever will stand up and dance to. 
2. You are in Love by Taylor Swift: Will never forget the chills I got hearing her sing this in concert and feeling a whole body kind of happiness that is so rare anymore.
3. Come Undone by Duran Duran: 16 years old, kissing the high school bad boy in an abandoned playground right before my 10 p.m. curfew, rain pouring down and feeling so god damn alive.
4. Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot: Every now and then I listen to this with a fake mic in my hand and pretend I am the best suburban, white-girl-rapper that ever lived.
5. I Dreamed a Dream from the Les Miserables soundtrack: Kind of ironic that a play called Les Miserables would bring me such joy, but every song evokes memories of my childhood and going to see Broadway shows (this being my favorite one)."
