Carrie Fisher Tells Daisy Ridley to Stay Away From Gold Bikinis

Who Knows What Daisy Ridley Will Wear in the New Star Wars Films

For nerds, the peak of sexiness is and always will be Princess Leia in the gold slave costume from Return of the Jedi. And the with new Star Wars slated to come out in December, which features Daisy Ridley, many nerds (myself included) hope for a similar moment in the new films. All our nerd hopes and dreams might have been pushed away, thanks to Carrie Fisher telling Daisy Ridley to avoid the gold bikini.  

Of course, it might be up to Daisy Ridley on whether or not she has to wear a gold bikini or not, but if she has it her way then it won’t happen. Ridley told Interview Magazine about the conversation between herself and Carrie Fisher while filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens about the fact that Ridley is about to become every nerd's new dream girl. 

"No, they always talk about how you’re a sex symbol, and how do I feel about that," Ridley answered, adding, "I’m not a sex symbol!"

"Listen! I am not a sex symbol, so that’s an opinion of someone. I don’t share that," Fisher said.  

Fisher also added that when it comes to what you are wearing, make sure you have a say in it.  

“You should fight for your outfit," she said. "Don’t be a slave like I was."  

With the fact that Jabba was killed (spoiler alert!) and it’s 30 years later, I really don’t think they will return to Jabba’s Palace. But stranger things have happened. Even Daisy Ridley notes she has no idea what will happen to her life after the film opens.  

"I don’t know if I can prepare for what’s to come because I don’t know what will."  

Though I have a feeling that Daisy Ridley won’t have to wear a gold bikini to be a nerd fantasy. Guess we’ll have to wait to see what happens in the new Star Wars films.
