Male performer Tyler Nixon is a phenomenal actor, and he always brings a passionate appreciation of his costars to his scenes. He stars in AVN Hall of Fame director James Avalon's "My Girlfriend's Mother 9" and he is truly always a pleasure to watch. Here's what he has to say about his life and career so far:

What kind of guy were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with and date?

"In high school, I was so dedicated to surfing and competing on my high school surf team," he said in an email interview we conducted with him. "I was the kid up super early to surf mornings before class and back in the water until sundown pretty much every day. That was my life. I had flings, but never really had a solid girlfriend until after."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars and favorite porn movies?

"I did watch porn quite frequently, but watching porn was just something to accelerate the process. I never got into a specific girl or scenario. Masturbating was usually an impulse, like releasing some demons and moving on with my day." Now that's an accurate portrayal of masturbation if we've ever heard one."

What do you think shaped you into the man that we see in your porn?

"Hmmm, I think the fact that I'm an emotional wreck benefits me in every scene. Sounds weird, but I'm serious. I’m into romance and a cuddler. I really enjoy foreplay and the process that leads into sex as much as sex itself. So in every film it’s important to me to build chemistry and enjoy the moment rather than just 'fucking'"

What or who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?

"I want to play more character-driven roles. I really enjoy working on long projects rather than day shoots. As for girls I want to work with, I don't have any on my mind. I have girls who I admire that I have never worked with, but I never think, 'Man I can't wait to work with her.'"

Who is your favorite female performer to work with and why?

"Oh, man, this is a dangerous question. Let's just say I kind of have a top three who I consider [to be] amazing girls both in and out of the bedroom."

You are very active on Twitter. What do you like most about reaching your fans through social media?

"I have a love/hate relationship with Twitter. I enjoy expressing my crude cynical views, but I hate listening to others. Most people boast on Twitter, and I like to counter it with self-deprecation. Pretty much exploiting hypocrisy."

What’s your favorite position to fuck a woman in and why does it get you off?

"Missionary for sure!! With legs back and intense eye contact, maybe a little choking. Don't judge! But yeah, I feel it's the most passionate, stimulating position for me." 

What do you enjoy most about being directed by James Avalon?

"James is one of my favorite directors. Not only does he create a friendly, stress-free environment, but he also allows us to perform positions that we would normally do in private, making it very natural and intimate. Plus, all the crew James chooses to surround himself with are just as awesome and professional as him. Matty, Amazon, Damien are great, and Veronica Hart is literally like my onset mom, LOVE her!!"

What is one thing you would teach another man who wanted to be a better sexual partner?

"I think I would recommend slowing down the process and enjoying the foreplay. Worship her body before just trying to jump her bones. And ask what she likes. Every girl is different, so don't be shy to ask. And don't be embarrassed to tell her what you like."

What are the best things about being a porn star? How has it made your life more fulfilling?

"My favorite part about porn is being my own boss. I am able choose my own schedule, which is huge for me, because I love to travel and disappear from time to time. Also, all the people I have met the last four years. I'm driven by adventures and porn has been consistently provided memories."

What movies of yours would you say are ones that are “must-owns” for your fans?

"I would have to recommend Aftermath by Wicked Pictures. It’s a three-hour movie I was a lead in. Not only do I enjoy the storyline, but also the 10 days of shooting that movie will forever be remembered. It was a killer time!"

How was working with India Summer in “My Girlfriend’s Mother 9?”

"I love India! She is genuinely the sweetest woman in porn. To give an example of how caring she is, when I was going through a few months of breakouts she would call me every few days to check up on my skin and offer other remedies to help clear me up, and she is so sexual. She always delivers a powerful scene, a scene where I just try and hold on for the ride."

You have enjoyed a lot of hot MILF performers in your scenes in the adult industry. What do you think makes a MILF sexy?

"What makes a MILF sexy to me is their dominance, the idea of them knowing what they want and not wasting anytime doing it." Now you know. 

What else can we look forward to seeing from you in the coming months?

"Hmm … well, I have been working a lot lately, so expect a lot of new updates. Also, I have been focusing on traveling and soul-searching, which I advertise on Twitter so be sure to tune in, if you like."

What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

"That's a hard one! I would have to say Fight Club, The Big Lebowski, and Casino are definitely at the top of the list."

How about the best porno movie? Is there someone whose movies you like to watch who is working now?

"I don't actually watch porn anymore. I feel like I should just save myself for my videos. Actually, the last time I masturbated was just because it would provide a ridiculous story/life event." Say what?!

What do you like to do for fun?

"I have to stay active! I enjoy all board sports, like surfing, skating, and snowboard, but I also enjoy hiking, camping, rock climbing, biking, pretty much anything outdoors to stay busy."

If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be?

"Megan Fox! But then again, I tend to think about women who are famous for scandals. For instance, I would love to fuck Monica Lewinsky just to see if it was worth it."

After all of your time in porn, is there anything you would want to do differently if you had a second chance?

"Actually, I don't. I feel like I came in at a perfect time and respected what I was doing well before I understood the magnitude of porn. The challenge is now! To stay grounded and not get carried away with the on-set lifestyle proves to be hard for some. So I focus on treating everyday like it was my first day working and stay humble, because I'm so fortunate."
