Netflix Has Some Great Sex Documentaries For Your Viewing Pleasure

Netflix is a great service for documentary buffs, and with new titles being added all the time, it's quickly becoming a great resource for those who like their documentaries with a healthy dose of smut. Decider (link below) just put out a list of ten great NSFW documentaries currently on Netflix, and we're highlighting five of the best. Kink (2013) dir. Christina Voros

This inside look at Kink.com and its world famous Armory is fascinating and mostly uncensored. Featuring such famous pornstars and Kink regulars as Remy LaCroix, Francesca Le, and Lyla Storm, don't let James Franco's participation as a producer scare you off. While it's much more clinical than kinky, it's still worth your time to get a behind the scenes look at what goes on during their shoots.

A Life in Dirty Movies (2013) dir. Wiktor Ericsson

Swedish director Wiktor Ericsson takes an in-depth look at the life and work of famous smutty filmmaker Joseph W. Sarno, director of such skin classics as Abigail Lesley is Back in Town (above). While Sarno may not be as well-known as his contemporaries like Russ Meyer, this film will hopefully help bring him the level of fame that he deserved. 

Bettie Page Reveals All (2012) dir. Mark Mori

This fantastic documentary helps to put the work done by Bettie Page and photographer Bunny Yeager into a larger historical context. Filled with never before seen images of the most famous pin-up in history, the film chronicles her entire life story and still manages to make time for plenty of fully nude images and films of the gorgeous and notorious Ms. Page. 

Back Issues: The Hustler Magazine Story (2014) dir. Michael Lee Nirenberg

Directed by the son of William Nirenberg, Hustler’s art director at the height of its ’70s and ’80s power, Back Issues chronicles the evolution of Hustler all the while subtly reflecting a son’s quest to better know his father. Featuring plenty of interviews with people in the know, this is perhaps the most intimate look at a dirty magazine you'll ever see.

Sexy Baby (2012) dir. Jill Bauer & Ronna Gradus

The directors of Hot Girls Wanted, which will be coming to Netflix in May, present the story of three women and how sex in our culture has affected their lives. From a 22 year old woman named Laura who decides to have a labiaplasty to 12 year old Winnifred, this film is a startling and often very sad look at how our society views women in the context of their sexuality.
