Scroguard Is Helping Us Get Closer & Closer To ‘Idiocracy’

EDITORIAL FEATURES

If you haven't seen Mike Judge's brilliant satire of where America is heading, Idiocracy, stop reading this and go watch it, and then come back. I'll wait.

Good, wasn't it? Eerie even. Well, now allow me to introduce you to the Scroguard, a new STD prevention device that completely covers your bathing suit area. The Daily Mail (link below) brought this to our attention, and I have to be honest, it's unnerving. Really unnerving.

Writing on their website, Scroguard's developers said: 'Both genital herpes and HPV can spread to your scrotum and pubic region through direct skin-to-skin contact and genital secretions during sex, even from someone who has completely normal looking skin with no visible warts or sores.'

'And, in the U.S., more than 50 per cent of sexually active men and women will get at least one of these STDs at some point in their lives.'

Scroguard was developed by two entrepreneurs based in Atlanta in the U.S., who made their first prototype in March this year.

Okay, we haven't even gotten to the best part yet...

For those interested, Scroguard costs $19.99 with a $5.80 handling fee, and is machine washable.

I know, machine washable. But just wait, that's not even it...

It's one-size fits all and developers warn a farting noise might occur during sex if air gets inside the pants.

Jesus H Tap Dancing Christ. Unless your partner is literally riddled with VD, I cannot think of any reason for someone to don this atrocity. But Tucker, you ask, what's the correlation to Idiocracy

null

Clearly the Scroguard is the butt of many jokes in the future.
