THROWBACK THURSDAY–Twenty Questions with Retired Porn Superstar Nyomi Banxxx

Nyomi Banxxx was an amazing adult performer who began her career back in 2006 and has since transitioned into radio as a popular host with shows on Playboy Radio and Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. On the heels of her radio success, the sexy entrepreneur has launched and established ChocolateRadio.net to provide an eclectic mix of lifestyle advice, news, sports, sex, music, female empowerment, and spiritual exploration topics for its adult listeners.  As a performer, Banxxx was one of my favorite women to watch.  Her scenes had intensity and fire, and she always gave her best. Her acting was superb in her features, and as the lead in the parody of the Denzel Washington film "Training Day", Banxxx shone with anger, insanity and lust.  Porn is definitely better because of her time in front of the camera.  Here are Banxxx's answers to twenty questions.  

1) What kind of girl were you back in high school?

Wow, I don’t know if I can answer that in a short answer... I was very popular in the sense that I was a star athlete, and I was more of a Dear Abby to everyone in school, the leader and problem solver. I was always driven; I knew what I wanted to do.

Who did you hang out with/date?

I hung out with just about every clique possible. I was the type that got along with everyone from the jocks to the nerds, and the stoners; I was even cool with most of the teachers. But I have two girlfriends that are like my sisters, we’ve been friends since my sophomore year in school and they still are my best friends. I dated a few guys, one’s not even worth mentioning his name, and the other, Eddie, he was a senior when I was a sophomore. He was a cool guy, an all-state wrestler. He even brought my mom flowers when he took me out on a date.

2) Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry?

No, I was not. Remember that Lil’ Kim song where she says that line, “with Heather Hunter and Janet Jacme?” I didn’t know who the hell they were. I didn’t find out who they were until I started doing my research on the adult business.

3) How do you feel about all of the awards/award nominations/acceptance you have had as a performer?

I feel honored, somewhat accomplished. I do feel at times that I left too quick. I thought I had more to give and prove.

4) Why did you decide to retire from porn?

Times were changing in the industry, and that wasn’t too cool for me at the time. I initially took a break for personal reasons. I was going to come back, but when all hell broke loose I thought, maybe that’s a sign for me to move on my next journey.

5) Who was your favorite male performer/female performer to work with and why?

Honestly, I had more than just one, because they each brought something different out of me. Lexington Steele, we had this chemistry on camera that made our viewers fall in love with us. With Manuel [Ferrara], it was just pure energy (animalistic type sex). LT will always allow me to explore my sexual heights. When it comes to females—Candace Von and I had great chemistry, and Jada Fire because we always had a great time on set. We were laughing our asses off.

6) Is there something/someone you would have liked to have done in porn that you didn’t get a chance to?

I would have loved to work with Belladonna; I don’t know why, it was just something about her that I was drawn to.

7) What’s your favorite position to get fucked in and why does it get you off?

Again, I have more than one—Doggie Style and Reverse Cowgirl. It’s more of a control thing for me.

8) Your performance in the "Training Day" parody was one of the best acting jobs I have seen in years. How did you prepare to take on that classic Denzel Washington role?

Now that movie I kind of knew by heart; I’ve seen it like a million times, but when Rob Black came to me about it, I was all for it. I actually just got in a zone; I embodied a few men in my past. And on set, I pretty much stayed in character.

9) How would you describe ChocolateRadio.net to someone who was interested checking it out for the first time?

Chocolate Radio is a one-stop shop of entertainment; we cover everything from sex and relationships with no judgments, sports, female empowerment, spirituality, music and just great entertainment.

10) Why do you need to have a Kickstarter campaign for it?

For upgrades for the equipment and software. There have been times that during a live taping where either the system will drop, or the phone lines will cut off during a caller/interviewer. Also to upgrade on how Chocolate Radio Operates and performs, locking in the best marketing and PR firm we know to cater to our station’s and our show’s needs. And other things... 11) What do you think is special about “The Live Show”?

With “The Live Show,” I deal with topics that everyday people might be afraid to talk about. In addition to having guests that the world just might not think they are ready for... I give them a chance to know whom those starlets or lifestyle gurus are, and why they do what they do.

12) What do you think was your best scene as a performer?

Acting wise it is between "Training Day" and Fatally Obsessed. Sexually wise it is Nyomi Banxxx Is Hardcore. LT definitely took me to new sexual heights with this movie.

13) How is Lexington Steele as a host?

Oh my God! I’m not just saying this because he’s a friend and on Chocolate Radio, but this is not Lex’s first time at the rodeo (radio). He is great! I didn’t know how informative he was on sports, and I mean every sport known to man. It’s incredible how the show has grown; with him adding in John E Depth and Andre Levell, it’s a true man cave sport show there!

14) What made you create ChocolateRadio.net initially?

I wanted to continue the platform that I had created over at Sirius. I felt very privileged that Playboy and Program Director Farrell gave me the chance to create another avenue for me. What I wanted to do was to create a platform to give others an opportunity to branch off and build their own platform.

15) What is the best mainstream movie you have seen recently?

Oh my, now you have me thinking. I honestly haven’t had a lot of time for movie watching. Being a station owner, my time is promoting, finding a new way to market and show ideas. Now that I think about it. I do need a date movie night!

16) How about the best porno movie?

Honestly, I really don’t watch lot of porn. The ones I do watch are story driven. 

17) Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you a low-tech woman?

My 7-speed Hitachi gets me every time. With a glass of wine or chocolate martini and my 7 speeds, I’m good.

18) If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be? Give us your male and female choices.

LL Cool J. Yes, that man, that man... And Jada Pinkett Smith, she is just so sexy to me.

19) So now that you are done with porn, what’s next?

I’m never done with porn; porn is what helped brand Nyomi Banxxx. What I’m doing is continue on building that brand rather that being in an array of multimedia projects, and creating 2 non-profit organizations. I'm in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign for ChocolateRadio.net to update our studio equipment for a better listener experience. 

20) Is there anything you want to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?

I want to thank all of my sexy fans that have continuously supported me throughout my career and the other ventures that I’ve done. The industry has been good to me. I can honestly say I don’t have any horror stories.
