Can Tantric Pleasure Be Achieved With A Condom?

EDITORIAL FEATURES

We had the pleasure of testing out ONE Condoms' new Tantric Pleasures variety. They're hands down the most design-conscious of any condom we've tried, but how does that translate when it comes to capital-A Action?

From the outset, these condoms assert their distinction with a unique, eye-catching container. It's a solid plastic tube, through which you can see the jewel-like little condoms waiting inside. Both ends twist open, but one side you'll find actually opens the package, while the other appears decorative. It turns out the ends can be put together to create a crushproof, pocket-sized carrying case. That is pretty cool, although it does take up substantial pocket real estate.

Anyway, onto the condom itself. It's extremely thin, easily roll-on-able, and is very well lubed. Ideally lubed. It's made to have a roomier base and top while fitting more snugly in the middle. These details served their purposes by, basically, not really making themselves known. It made for a seamless and pleasurable suiting-up mission. According to my partner-in-crime, Tantric Pleasures felt thin and comfy, like your favorite t-shirt: not too tight but doesn't slip off when it counts.

Now what is truly meant to set Tantric Pleasures apart from other condoms is a "tattoo-inspired texture" and "strategically designed ribbing" for increased pleasure. I mention this notable feature last because, well, to be honest I didn't really notice this aspect. But then I've never really noticed condom ribbing -- perhaps my lady bit isn't as sensitive as others may be? But I believe for most condoms the amount of ribbing that's even possible while still remaining a thin rubber condom is not enough to make a difference in my pleasure-seeking.

Aside from whether the ribbing was truly tantric, I was excited to see such meticulous attention being paid to our old pal, the condom. The packaging, the design, the thought behind it made it feel like using the condom was a bit of a sexual treat. Like having Toblerone instead of a Hershey's bar. If condoms can be thought of as the least bit exciting, then more power to them.

Plus, a portion of all ONE product sales pays for mobile HIV testing, treatment and counseling to affected populations in Africa. Good things all around. So basically the ONE Condom makes us feel sexy and happy all at once -- it may not be tantric, but it is certainly a pleasure.
