Blowjobs 301: “Tristan Taormino’s Expert Guide To Advanced Fellatio”

"Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to Advanced Fellatio" is the eleventh installment in Vivid-Ed's "Expert Guide" series, its first advanced guide, and a dramatic departure from anything else that Vivid-Ed has done. And it's pretty fucking fabulous.

In her previous expert guides, Tristan followed a tried and true format. Each DVD opened with an educational lecture, in which Tristan or one of her friends talked viewers through the topic at hand (usually with a little, ahem, hands-on demonstration). After the lecture, the essential points were hammered home through a few hardcore scenes, which demonstrated the techniques and tips from the lecture (with some voiceovers and pop ups to make sure the message got across).

"Advanced Fellatio" does not follow that format.

True, it does open with Tristan talking; but rather than giving us twenty minutes of lecture plus three annotated scenes, the feature combines the porn and education more fluidly, illustrating Tristan's talking points with short clips of porn performers in action (as well as with pornstar testimonials). It's a great structure, and it works really, really well. Rather than making us wait to see techniques in action, Tristan immediately shows us what she's talking about (and offers us enough time to, ahem, really savor the action).

At this point, there are no doubt some of you wondering what, exactly, makes a blowjob an advanced blowjob: after the "Expert Guide to Fellatio," what more is there to cover? Well, doubting Dennis, there's quite a lot. Tristan's cadre of cock hungry coquettes lick their lips and handily (mouthily?) execute techniques like deep throating, face fucking, and—for those with a death wish (or a whole lot of upper body strength)—the very daring standing 69. Definitely not techniques to explore on your first trip downtown, but incredibly rewarding for those who manage to master them.

After the hour long lecture, the DVD switches tracks, segueing from porny education to just straight up porn. The three scenes we saw spliced into Tristan's lecture are now presented in full, with Charley Chase and Christian, Adriana Nicole and Evan Stone, and Satine Phoenix and Danny Wylde demonstrating just how hot a blowjob can get.

Without the voiceover and popups, it's a little bit harder to get an educational message out of the DVDs scenes...but to be honest, we don't think you'll mind. (And if you do, well, just stop the feature at the end of Tristan's lecture, and save the scenes for when you're in a fapping mood.)
