We were happy to find out today from our Budapest bureau (didn't know we had one of those, did you?) that an endangered species—the good, old-fashioned, and comparatively wholesome Playboy Bunny—is alive and well in Hungary, a country better known lately for hardcore porn parades and weekend sex festivals: "What on God's Earth - or Darwin's Earth - does a country as steeped in sex and porn as Hungary need with a magazine filled with gauzy images of girls not showing everything? ... The answer is simple. Compared to all that hard-core, Playboy is sheer elegance, and elegance is a turn-on.'"
