One can imagine that for some actors, playing an iconic role has many upsides, but also some down sides. Sure, you are known all around the world, but you are also known all around the world for being one thing. In the case of Carice Van Houten, when people find out that you are having a baby, no doubt you will a ton of jokes about having another shadowbaby.  

Yes, Carice van Houten and Guy Pearce are going to have a baby, and when they announced it on Twitter, they kind of beat everyone to punch with the jokes about shadowbabies. Honestly, I had no idea that Carice van Houten and Guy Pearce were a thing, but good for Guy Pearce—he needs some good stuff happening in his life. While I’m sure everyone out there is hoping they name the baby Shadow or Shadowbaby or something like that, personally I hope they name the child Azor Ahai. And if you have no idea who Azor Ahai is, then you re-watch all 5 seasons and do some research, and you’ll understand why I picked that name.  

So, good for you Carice van Houten and Guy Pearce on the announcement that you guys are expecting, and we all hope that when Carice does give birth, it isn’t an evil spirit that cuts peoples throats.
