Trainspotting Turns 20, but Kelly MacDonald's Sex Scene Is Timeless

There are a few films that really stick with you throughout your life. You can still remember watching them for the first time, and every single time you’ve watched that movie since, you have continued to enjoy it. For many, myself included, Trainspotting was one of those movies.  

If you have never seen Trainspotting, please stop reading this and go watch the movie—you can come back to this later. Though it pains me to say this, it has been 20 years since that movie came out (I feel old) and recently some of the stars of the movie talked to Vice about what it was like making the movie. Of course, the conversation went towards memorable scenes, and it just so happens that one of Kelly MacDonald’s memorable scenes is one we all remember:  

The sex scene was obviously quite nerve-racking. I was very sexually inexperienced at that stage and limited in that area, so it was all a bit embarrassing. I was so unthinking and so naive and young that that was the day I invited my mom and my brother to the set.  

Yeah, oops on inviting family to the set that day. Still when I think of Trainspotting, seeing Kelly MacDonald shed that dress always, always pops into my head.
