Penthouse to Ditch the Print, But Not the Nudity

Hiding Penthouse Magazines Will Soon Be a Thing Of the Past

The great Bob Dylan once sang those immortal words, “Times they are a changing,’” and boy, was he right. Times, they are changing. With print slowly dying, it’s not surprising that many magazines are moving to all-digital. Now, it seems that Penthouse is doing just that.

While no date is set for the last print issue, the company did release a statement which read in part:  

“This will be a new way for its readers to experience the world’s best adult magazine. . . Reimagined for the preferred consumption of content today by consumers, the digital version of Penthouse Magazine will combine and convert everything readers know and love about the print magazine experience to the power of a digital experience.”  

I’m sure many in my generation and the generations before will be a little sad by this news and a little upset that the generations after us will never to find the most creative place in their bedrooms to hide issues of Penthouse, but at least the magazine is not doing away with the nudity.  

So, raise a glass to Penthouse magazine for all it has given you and wish the all-digital version a long and happy life online. No more hiding the nudey mags behind the bottom drawer of your dresser—now all you have to do is remember to erase your browser history.
