Music buffs already know this, but the Rolling Stones song "Mother's Little Helper" is an ode to the tranquilizer Diazepam, and when director B. Skow heard that song, he had a "crazy over the top vision" for his next film.

Skow for Girlfriends Films presents Mother's Little Helper, which streets on September 11, and features Dana DeArmond, Evan Stone, Kasey Warner, Penny Pax, Dane Cross, and Ava Dalush. Hot on the heels of the release of Sexually Explicit 5, Mother's Little Helper shows that B. Skow is not only uninterested in slowing down for even a moment, he's also a director of a singular, uncompromising vision, willing to go places that other directors simply won't. 

It’s been a noteworthy year for director B. Skow, as he continues to add new dimensions and layers to existing porn genres by pushing the envelope of creativity, embracing taboo subject matters, and pulling believable, dynamic performances from adult talent. “This uncharted approach obscures stereotypes of adult entertainment – I want to make us think about porn in a different way,” explained B. Skow.

Through his Skow for Girlfriends Films label, Skow is quietly reshaping the landscape of the adult industry, as the award-winning director takes his experience from mainstream and adult work into a new movement being labeled Progressive Porn. 

Skow’s Progressive Porn Movement demonstrates how unique his style is, whether in how he approaches gonzo or feature porn movies. Unlike anything else on the market, new terms are needed for B. Skow’s work, like Avant-Gonzo, which is a new, cutting edge style of adult cinema pushing the boundaries and status quo of gonzo porn. There’s also Dogme 69, a play off of Lars Von Trier’s genre, called Dogme 95, which rejects special effects and gimmicks.
