The Deadpool Movie Will Have You Reaching for a Little Yellow Box of Tissues

It's not every day that I get to write about superheroes and sex, so allow me to geek out for a moment. Deadpool is inarguably the only good thing Rob Liefeld ever gave the world, and now that he's getting his own big screen R-rated adventure, it seems appropriate that we would get our first honest to goodness superhero sex scene since the laughable Watchmen sex scene that forever tarnished Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."

Cinema Blend (link below) has some of the details from the panel the cast and crew did at Comic Con last week, and one of the choicest nuggets involved a sex scene between Ryan Reynolds' anti-hero Deadpool/Wade Wilson and Morena Baccarin's hooker with a heart of gold Vanessa.

Talking about her character, Vanessa, and her emotional bond to Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson, Baccarin explained, 

"It’s an origin story for these characters, so you see them falling in love. You see them meeting each other for the first time and discovering that they’re kindred spirits. There’s this awesome sex montage, you see them love each other more and more."

It was after this statement that Ryan Reynolds, sitting next to her, quipped, "Very athletic" – a statement the actress agreed with by repeating it. 

Alright, so it's a sex montage, not a sex scene, Baccarin's not shy about doing nudity, and Reynolds honestly has nothing to lose, so hopefully this will be a highlight of the film. We'll find out for sure if it makes the final cut when the film is released next February.
