Top Ten People, Scenes and DVDs That Should Have Won AVN Awards This Year but Lost

The XRCO nominations just came out and it just got me thinking of some of the wrongs that I personally think occurred courtesy of my fellow AVN Awards voters.  Now, I am not saying that the people or scenes or productions that took home AVN Awards suck in any sense of the word.  I just want to share some other people that I personally think really should have gotten the trophies instead.  Feel free to disagree with me--my fellow voters surely did.  These are in no particular order of importance and feel free to give your comments or compliments about my selections in the comments section below.  

1) Maddy O'Reilly in New Sensations' "The Sexual Liberation of Anna Lee" lost to Best Actress to Carter Cruise in New Sensations' "Second Chances".

O'Reilly did a stunning job playing a sexually repressed woman who undergoes unorthodox sexual therapy to change her life and she finds love in the arms of fellow patient Xander Corvus--a man who likes to hit it and quit it and struggles with his love for O'Reilly.  O'Reilly had a lot heavier lifting to do in her production than Cruise did in hers.

2) Belladonna Entertainment/Evil Angel's "Dirty Panties 2" lost Best All-Girl Release to BOTH Adam & Eve's "Alexis & Asa" and Girlfriends' Films' "Women Seeking Women 100".

As far as girl/girl porn goes, you just can not beat the solid, raw power of what director Aiden Riley shoots.  Here's a clip from this with Lea Lexis getting it on with Dana DeArmond.  It's honest, true, real feeling lust and nothing in the other two that tied for the win in this category did it for me the way that this DVD did in every way.

3) Starr Erotica/Evil Angel's "Masochistic Masturbation" lost to Best BDSM Release Deviant Entertainment/Metro's "Brandy Aniston Is Fucked".

Here's a clip of "Masochistic Masturbation".  That's Slutwoman Kristina Rose with a bell in her asshole that Aiden Starr occasionally rings just to fuck with Rose's world.  This movie was so damn innovative and interesting and under-appreciated.  This movie is pervy and fun as hell and I felt that I had seen the Metro stuff before.  I love Brandy Aniston but in this category, it didn't ring my bell.  Hee hee.

4) Zero Tolerance's "Tami Erin: The Sex Tape" lost to Best Celebrity Sex Tape to Vivid's "Tila Tequila 2: Backdoored and Squirting".

As a child actress, Tami Erin was Pippi Longstocking.  As an adult, Erin is one sexy redheaded MILF who really looks like a fun lay in this.  Tila Tequila is....Tila Tequila.  

5) Burning Angel's "Vampire Cheerleaders" lost Best Comedy to Burning Angel's "Bikini Babes Are Shark Bait".

I am not the only one who thinks that "Vampire Cheerleaders" was the stronger comedy.  A certain alt supergoddess who was grateful for the win in this tough category agrees with me.  "Vampire Cheerleaders" is a strong, sexy comedy that is way more memorable and definitely hotter.  Be sure to check out the all-girl orgy in it.  It was nommed for Best All-Girl Group Scene.  It will bring whatever is in your pants back from the undead.  "Bikini Girls Are Shark Bait" is cute but not as great as this anti-bullying themed hot girl vampire fest.

6) Rocco Siffredi/Evil Angel's "Rocco's Coming in America" lost to Best Non-Feature to Jules Jordan Video's Flesh Hunter 12".

Rocco Siffredi performing scenes here in the U.S. is always an event.  This scene with Maddy O'Reilly and Riley Reid shot by John Stagliano?  Stunningly dirty and fabulous.  The "Flesh Hunter" is great but it's another "Flesh Hunter"....sorry but I have to go with Rocco.  It's like choosing the lovely cannoli over a slice of cheesecake.  I love cheesecake but cannoli is....special.

7) Jada Stevens in Hard X's "Big Anal Asses" lost Best Solo/Tease Performance to Anikka Albrite, Dani Daniels and Karlie Montana in Hard X's "Anikka 2".

It took three chicks to take down one hot as fuck Buttwoman floating in a pool.  Three against one is bullshit and sorry but Stevens haunts my dreams with how delightful this pool scene is.

8) Burning Angel's "Bikini Babes Are Shark Bait" lost Best Soundtrack to X-Play/Pulse's "Not Jersey Boys: A Porn Musical".

This is an original song by Joanna and her backing band, the Gigolos--not a parody of something that already exists--and the whole production of "Bikini Babes" is all original music.  I just think that this particular earworm is fucking awesome.  I walked around my life singing this song for a month.

9) Stormy Daniels in Wicked Fairy Tales' "Sleeping Beauty: An Axel Braun Parody" lost Best Supporting Actress to Veronica Avluv in Wicked Fairy Tales' "Cinderella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody".

Sorry, Veronica but Stormy was the best Maleficent I saw last year and I feel like Stormy's performance just kicked the ass of everyone else in this category.  Daniels oozed evil in this Wicked fairy tale and Daniels' sex scenes were over the top awesome.  Loved, loved, loved Daniels in the role of this misunderstood villain.

10)  Lethal Hardcore/Pulse's "She Divorced Me So I Fucked Her Hot, Slutty Attorney" lost Clever Title of the Year to Hot Mess/Exile's "12 Inches A Slave".

Sorry "Slave".  This other title has my heart.....
