Hannah New Talks Comic-Con, Bad Language, And Nudity

In a recent interview Black Sails star Hannah New showed that she is a little different than her character Eleanor in real life. In fact, it would seem the only thing Hannah New and Eleanor have in common is that they are both incredibly hot.  

As Black Sails gains in popularity, New is getting more and more exposure, which is a good thing. Besides climbing Mount Kilimanjaro New talked about some of her other new experiences, like Comic-Con:  

The first Comic-Con we went to- hardly anyone had seen the show because we only put out the first episode, so it was great because they ended up being super enthusiastic about it. The second one was just incredible, because people had seen it all and they were coming in their full pirate gear. For me, having that interaction and seeing the enjoyment people get out of it is such a blessing.

What New’s Mom thinks of Eleanor:  

So funny, because my mom has said, "she uses such bad language!" She not worried about the violence or anything else, just the language! At the end of the day, she would have had to be very imposing.

On doing nude scenes:  

I think it's always going to be awkward, and it's always going to be a strange thing to do. But one of the most amazing things is that it always feels like a safe environment while we're doing it, and we also have a very detailed process that we go through with production to ensure that everything in the scene means something. Every single move, every single interaction between characters, has to read like a dialogue. There are things in those scenes that are very intimate details for those characters, which is someone is really tuned into it will see. You always have to think about who these people are, so having scenes where you have to explore that physically is kind of interesting.

And of course, her sex scene with the extremely hot Jessica Parker Kennedy:  

Jessica is just one of the most genuine and truthful actresses I've worked with. I actually did my screen test with Jes, and I kind of knew that I'd be able to work with her. Max really brings out a side of Eleanor that is incredibly vulnerable, she's one of the only character's Eleanor is really truthful with

Black Sails is already into filming its third season. Let’s hope that means more New and Parker Kennedy Scenes.
