The Proud Tradition Of Celebs Getting Banned From Instagram

By now, we all know about social media website Instagram's regressive policies regarding female nipples and their exposure on the site. A new piece by the New York Post (link below) sheds a light on six of the biggest names who have found their Instagram accounts deactivated or deleted following the posting of lewd and lascivious pics of their nipples. 

Scout Willis lit the fire that blazed across the site this spring with her #FreeTheNipple campaign, and also earned herself a one-way ticket off the social media platform. She then took the fight to Twitter, who had no qualms with her toplessness. 

Rihanna also found herself in hot water with Instagram this Spring, and was absent from the site for about six months before kissing and making up with Instagram this month. 

Vogue editor Grace Coddington got her account shut down for perhaps the stupidest reason of all, posting this nude cartoon which the site deemed offensive and in violation of their strict no nudity policy, but they reneged once they realized how eternally stupid that decision was.

This photo of Kendall Jenner from Fashion Week also earned this member of the Kardashian klan a ban, but when it was pointed out that any member of the family who is banned from social media will wither and die within one week of a ban, they restored her account immediately. 

Polish model Anja Rubik also saw her account go off the grid after posting a topless screenshot of her from style.com, landing her name in the headlines, and her pics in our spank bank.

The most recent recipient of a lifetime ban was comedian Chelsea Handler, whose side by side comparison to Vladimir Putin initially got deleted, and then earned her a ban when she reposted it moments later. Something tells us this won't last either, but who knows?
