“Boardwalk Empire” Gets a Hustler Parody

Sometimes we wonder if HBO is putting Hustler and its kind out of business, what with their constant stream of sexy dramas with more nudity than you can shake your stick at (we know, we tried). But Hustler still has the upper hairy palm when it comes to penetrating parodies, such as their just announced "This Ain't Boardwalk Empire XXX."

News of this event was revealed to us through the jaunty journalists at Xbiz (link below). "Directed by Stuart Canterbury, 'This Ain't Boardwalk Empire XXX' stars Scott Lyons as the title character Nucky (originally played by Steve Buscemi).

"Other cast members include Alana Rains, Cameron Dee, Belle Noire, Presely Hart, Kimber Day, Cassandra Nixx, Ryan Driller, Anthony Rosano and Jovan Jordan.

"'Our movie takes excerpts from the HBO show and spoofs them so there are actually several story lines,' Hustler Creative Director Drew Rosenfeld told XBIZ. 'We have a ton of great special effects, and of course the costumes from that period are fantastic.'"

A costume drama where the characters are mostly out of costume is an ingenious way to save money. It's something the suits at HBO could learn from their X-rated competition. Of course, HBO has already taken a few pages from the porn playbook. In fact, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between the parody and the source of that parody.

Anyway, this sure-to-be classic Hustler production streets April 29. Just a head's up to our boss at Fleshbot, we're calling in sick that day.
