Fleshbot PSI: Between The Ink And The Pink

WhoAreYouEatingOnce again, fair readers, a random yet enchanting picture on Tumblr has confused one of our fellow pervs, and he needs our help in identifying the people depicted therein. Who is the blissed-out babe being munched upon, who is the gentleman doing the dining, and where can we find more of the same?

The person who wrote in had very simple question: “Can you tell me who the performers in this picture are? Is this a still from a video?” We’re pretty sure this is a still (or at least a glamour shot) from a video, but we haven’t a clue who the performers are. At first glance, we thought we were looking at April O’Neil and a strange hybrid of Jordan Ash and Chad Alva, but we know that’s wrong. As far as origins go, we bet it comes from X-Art or a similarly lit “romantic” couples’ porn kind of studio.

What do you think, fair detectives? Can you crack the case (even though the picture we have to work with is so tiny)?

    I can tell you that the guy is Joey Brass. The girl looks like April, but until I find the video I can’t absolutely confirm it.

    Okay, clearly I had no idea how much crossover there was of male performers from the straight to gay (and vice versa) porn stages. I just watched a Joey Brass movie, Big Bang Theory: XXX parody, and no less than three of the men do gay videos. As well as Joey, there is Rocco Reed, who regularly bottoms in gay films, and was just featured in a post on the Fleshbot gay side, and Gabriel Dalessandro who also bottoms, gets triple pentrated, barebacked and breeded for XS an infamous bareback gay porn studio. For once I am actually shocked. It’s cool, but somehow surprising. I man has to eat.

      From what I can tell, there’s more crossover between straight and gay these days. In the past, there was a bigger stigma (as evidenced by the prejudice faced by Max Diesel/Christian XXX), but more recently I’ve seen several performers cross over with relative ease (Wolf Hudson went from gay to straight, Rocco Reed from straight to gay)–or at least without having to change their stage name. (Which is not to say there’s *no* stigma–there were definitely some raised eyebrows when Rocco started performing in gay porn, not the least because he’d been fending off gay rumors for years.)

      Anyway. As you mention, this is likely about money. It’s no secret that porn’s piracy-induced financial problems are reducing the number of scenes that are shot at any given time (and thus the amount of work that’s available), which is particularly challenging for straight male performers, who tend to be paid less per scene than their costars, and rely on regular work to make a solid living. Since gay porn a) pays more to the male performers and b) tends to sell more reliably than straight porn (meaning they’re still making money and still shooting content), it’s not that hard to see why a male porn performer might see shooting gay porn as a financially smart move.
