Sex Does My Body Good

EDITORIAL FEATURES

I was more aware of my body's actions as he pushed inside and how my muscles would tense and release to only tense harder. My pelvis would grind up to meet his because I wanted to come against his cock. The orgasms were effortless and all it took was his physical invasion and the bed soaked beneath us. My whole body would seize as the orgasms came and went melding into each other like a roller coaster ride. The sweat was collecting on my skin and my hair clung to my face. My breathing was quick and the moans that gravitated to screams scraped my throat. This was our sex and it does my body good.

When I have had about 5 sessions in a 24-hour period you can guarantee I will feel some physical exhaustion and soreness when I come down from the orgasmic high. I thrive on the soreness of my muscles and the tenderness between my legs but the compliments I get after such sessions are the best. Clark always tells me how good I look when I come home from a weekend of sex. My body is tight, looks great and did I mention the glow? I tend to remark a lot that if I got sex several times a day I wouldn't need to work out. I work out 5 to 6 hours a week and I swear I don't look nor feel as good as when I do after a weekend of sex. My skin is clear, I look young and my overall demeanor is just happy. It's like hitting the reset button on my body.

I am an advocate for everyone to have copious amounts of sex and just to give you more of a reason; here are some facts to help you out:

-Researchers at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania found that having sex once or twice a week boosts the immune system by 30 percent.

- Protect your pearly whites by stepping up to the mic. Semen contains zinc, calcium, and other minerals proven to fight tooth decay.

- Sex tones the pelvic muscles that support your uterus, bladder, and bowel.

- No pain, all gain. Right after your big O, you'll be practically swimming in oxytocin. The overload releases endorphins, which help alleviate pain from arthritis and menstrual cramps.

-"Tactile stimulation soothes nerves," says Evelyn Resh, M.P.H., certified nurse midwife and director of health services at Canyon Ranch spa in Lenox, Massachusetts.

- Use it or lose it. Says marriage therapist Michele Weiner Davis, author of The Sex-Starved Wife: "The more you have sex, the more likely you'll be to continue to produce testosterone, one of the primary hormones responsible for sexual desire."

-Seriously pissed? Instead of screaming your head off, save your voice and have sex. It's a great way to release tension.

- "When things go well in the bed and you're pleasing your partner," says San Francisco sex therapist Sandor Gardos, Ph.D., founder of MyPleasure.com, "you feel more confident and powerful in other parts of your life."

- Give your guy a helping hand. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, the more he ejaculates, the less likely he is to develop prostate cancer.

- In his book, Secrets of the Superyoung, neurophysiologist David Weeks, M.D., of Scotland's Royal Edinburgh Hospital, writes: "An active sex life slows the aging process."
