You know how Madonna lives: she stays in the moment, she feeds off the energy of the crowd, and if the mood feels right and the air smells like the sweat of screaming fans, she’ll show her nipple on stage. She did it in Istanbul and now she’s done it in Paris.
The real controversy from Madonna’s Paris concert revolves around a video montage in which Marine Le Pen–a French right-wing politician who is anti-choice and anti-gay marriage–is shown with a swastika on her forehead. Will Le Pen’s people go ahead with their threats to sue Madonna? Will Madonna ever show nipple again in concert? The second question has nothing to do with the first; we’d just like to know for our own sakes.
