"Burning" Isn’t Just An Off-Broadway Play, It’s A Live Sex Show

Well, perhaps live sex show is a bit of an overstatement (we’re fairly certain the sex is simulated), but nevertheless, this is a play that The Times described as:

…a story of untalented show people in New York and neo-Nazis in Berlin, which features many moments that border on hard-core pornography. (Only a lack of strategic close-ups separates this play from XXX-rated films.)

As you might expect, that was enough to pique our interest, and send us on the hunt for evidence of this hardcore-pornographyesque theater moment—and naturally, the internet came to our rescue. Above, a small sample of the hot “Burning” action…without having to leave your house (or deal with all the pedophilia, racism, and other shock tactics littered through the play that seem to have offended quite a few Times readers).

I don’t think I’d want to be an actor delivering dialogue elsewhere on stage while THIS was happening a few feet away. I mean, talk about distractions. But God bless the audience… they’re still pretending to pay attention to what the non-naked actors are saying. They laugh in all the right places and everything.

Lux, since you’re both a published playwright and someone who’s been filmed topless without your consent, I’m surprised that you think it’s ethically okay to post this video. As an actor myself, if I ever got cast in a role that required nudity and/or simulated sex, I might understand that the theatre can’t guarantee 100% enforcement of the “no photography or recording devices” policy, but that’s not the same thing as consent. I’d at least assume that no reputable website would try to profit from such copyright infringement. Tsk, tsk.
