When Vivid first announced “Montana Fishburne,” the XXX debut/”thrill sex” adventure starring the titular daughter of actor Laurence Fishburne, we assumed we were in store for yet another “leaked” “celebrity” sex tape/attention grab. We may have been wrong.
For while it’s true that the press release for “Montana Fishburne” carries all the hallmarks of a Vivid PR stunt like “Shauna Sand Exposed”—the D-list celebrity! The reference to Kim Kardashian!—there were a few things that were, well, off. For one thing, Vivid’s relatively vague description of the film doesn’t actually sound like an amateur sex tape, or anything that could pass for “leaked”: it sounds like something that was straight up shot professionally, with an intent to release.
Then there’s the fact that this may not actually be Montana’s XXX “debut.”
Shortly after Vivid came out with their press release, another studio—Freaky Empire—came out with the news that they, too, had shot the young Ms. Fishburne in a XXX production; more to the point, that they’d beat Vivid to the punch by at least a few days (and will be releasing their footage of Montana getting it on with Brian Pumper a few weeks before “Montana Fishburne” hits stores).
Given this interesting bit of info, it’s pretty clear that “Montana Fishburne” is no “Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress”—or even “Kim Kardashian Superstar.” This is no case of a mainstream “celebrity” making a claim for more notoriety through the sale of their own amateur porn. This is a woman who straight up wants to be in porn, a fact she’s conveniently spun into the story of an attention grab with the help of Vivid’s PR machine.
We’re not sure if Montana Fishburne genuinely wants to be the next Kim Kardashian, but if that level of fame notoriety was all she ever wanted, we suspect she could have achieved some sort of reality show on the strength of her dad’s name alone (and without even taking off her top). What seems more likely here is that Montana genuinely wants to fuck on camera, and is using her name to make the biggest splash possible. And if that’s the case, well, more power to her.
And, well, if Vivid’s got any intentions of making their relationship with Montana a more permanent one, we’d certainly support that union. It’s been quite a while since Heather Hunter last performed…the porn world could certainly use another black contract star (Shane Diesel aside).
