Sex Blogger Loses Job Over Blog

Sex Blogger Loses Job Over BlogBad news for sexual freedom: like Girl with a One Track Mind before her, sex blogger The Beautiful Kind found herself out of a job when her employer learned about her blog. So much for freedom of expression. (blogs.riverfronttimes.com)

Not much to add to this whole thing, but fucking hell people, let us have a private life.

Ah, this makes me so mad! I’m so lucky that I’ve been able to make porn my full career because I don’t have to hide it. If people can’t be open about their sexuality and their sane/safe/consensual forays into sex work (whether that’s working in adult film, writing an erotic blog, moonlighting as an escort… you name it!) then they should at least be able to do what they want on their own time. This just seems like the same old puritanical crap to me, no matter how you dress it up with comments about how it affects the company she works for. I’m sure if all the kinky folks she worked with were out about their sexual habits, the company would have to fire most (if not all) of their employees!

I don’t understand: where was she working and if her blog was unrelated to her job, why was it closed down?

Shameful behaviour! (The employer’s of course!)
