Steamy CGI: The God Of War III Sex Scene

It’s certainly a great time for pervy gamers: first there was the Heavy Rain nudity hack, and now this fantastic sex scene from God of War III (seriously, it’s almost “Spartacus” level good—almost.).

Is it gratuitous? Probably. But if this is a sign that our culture is getting more comfortable with incorporating sex and nudity into pop culture, well, hallelujah. (And if it’s not, at least we get to see some CGI boobies. Which is a pretty good consolation prize, if you ask us.)

    I love that their idea of making it more tasteful is to show topless ladies while the deeds are being done.

    I suppose the slashing blade sound effects are intended to demonstrate the warrior’s “swordsmanship,” but I find it a little disconcerting that the player is supposed to virtually fuck this CGI woman by mashing the same buttons (and eliciting the same noises) which accompany enemy decapitations.

    [Then again, I suppose a pretty sharp blade would be needed in order to cut through all the fromage-iness of that scene].
