Will Christina Hendricks Break New York Magazine’s Spring Fashion Boobs Streak?

For the past two years, New York’s Spring Fashion issue has served as a tribute to celebrity boobs: in 2008, we saw Lindsay-as-(naked!)-Marilyn; in 2009, there was Kate Moss. This year, Christina Hendricks is the issue’s cover model.

In spite of her impressive assets (and our fervent desires), Christina hasn’t been known for much in the way of exhibitionism—in fact, she’s much better known for her amazing ability to keep all that boobage under wraps. And if the online photos are any indication, that won’t be changing just for li’l ol’ New York.

But hey—can you blame us for hoping that the print issue offers a little more of a reveal? Our issue won’t arrive until tomorrow (damn postal holidays!), but we’ll be sure to offer a full report once we have it in hand.

The article and attached comments talk a hell of a lot about how curves are something of a novelty among famous (mainstream) women of recent memory (or is that mammary?), but I don’t buy it at all. Kim Kardashian, Vida Guerra, Beyonce Knowles, Scarlett Johannson to a lesser extent, and a slew of others make that point seem like a lot of fluff.

Oh dear lord. Should we start praying now or is it too late?
