The Feminist Porn Awards Turn Five

Shocking though it may seem, the Feminist Porn Awards will be celebrating their fifth annual awards show this April (and to think, we remember when they were born!). And believe us, they're celebrating in style.

Confirmed guests include Tristan Taormino, Shine Louise Houston and Candida Royalle (and we've heard a rumor that Madison Young, Courtney Trouble, April Flores, Dylan Ryan, and other assorted crush objects will be making appearances, too). In addition to the awards (to be held on April 9), there will also be a screening and roundtable discussion on April 8—and that's not just any screening, either. It's the screening that will determine the winner of the Viewer's Choice Award.

But wait, there's more! FPA have teamed up with Good Releasing to create the Emerging Filmmaker Award, a $750 cash prize for a first-time filmmaker (intended to help them complete or secure distribution for their movie). And, last but certainly not least, if you have a film that you'd like to see recognized for a Feminist Porn Award, please note that the nomination period is almost at an end—in fact, you only have until January 31 to submit, so you better get on it.
