Like Mother, Like Son: Sean Lennon Updates Classic Photo Of His Parents Embracing

Sean Lennon and girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl have recreated an iconic photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono that appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone. We’ve placed the two images side by side so you can compare.

Which is your favorite? Do you prefer the old school stylings of John and Yoko as shot by Annie Leibovitz? Or are you more into Terry Richardson‘s updated (and nippleful) version, with Sean as Yoko and Kemp taking the place of John?

We’re leaning more towards the original—but as a general rule, we vastly prefer Annie Leibovitz to Terry Richardson.

John Lennon was (is) an icon. Sean is….not so much.

C’mon . . . the original, obviously. Him nude and curled up next to her clothed subverted the norms (also, first CFNM ever?). The “updated version” is just boring.

Terry Richardson has NEVER stood even close to Annie’s shadow. Annie still rules.
