UCLA Bids Farewell To The Undie Run

UCLA’s quarterly undie run was an unofficial school tradition, a stress reliever, and a way for random pervs to ogle scantily clad college students. Now, alas, it’s none of those things: citing safety concerns, the administration has banned it. Bastards!

How do you ban an “unofficial” school tradition? This just means the kids are gonna do it anyway, and in bigger and drunker numbers – what can they do, arrest 10 thousand undergrads?

This year San Francisco tried to stop naked people from running in the Bay to Breakers fun-run. So thousands of naked people showed up for the run anyway (it was a hot day, even for SF).

I imagine a rowdy & crazy “unofficial” renegade undie run this next school year. Send Fleshbot correspondents for some coverage.

We can only hope they have banned it, and replaced it with the “Nudie Run” instead.

As a former Bruin who participated in many an undie run all I can say is bollocks! Nothing beat midnight on finals week with chicks in thongs getting doused by sprinklers. Schools going to hell in a handbasket.

Then simply watch the UCSB run. It is still alive and well. And we party harder, too!
