ESPN Magazine To Feature Athletes... In The NudeESPN Magazine is planning its first “Body Issue,” aka a chance for all of us to see athletes in the nude. The plan is to keep it tasteful…perhaps the editors could use these photos for inspiration? (usatoday.com)

    Part of me (namely, my loins) says “Yay! Naked(ish) people!”, and then the other part of me (the brainy feminist part), just groans. I mean, it’s nice that this will have male and female athletes, but I’m just sick and tired of female athletes being reduced to “She’s so hot.” We have enough amazing models to enjoy their looks, so why must we turn them into models as well?

    I mean, some nude body shots of athletes are incredible- showing strength, grace, a beautifully fit and powerful body. But most just leave a lot to be desired.
