Vivid Throws Its Hat Into The Porn Parody Ring

While Hustler, X-Play, and New Sensations have been steadily cranking out scores of “Not The,” “This Ain’t,” and “XXX Parody” titles, Vivid has sat on the sidelines, completely avoiding the seemingly unstoppable porn parody train. Until now.

We’ve just got word that Vivid has snatched up Axel Braun—the fine mind behind “This Ain’t Happy Days XXX” and “This Ain’t Star Trek XXX”—to direct their upcoming line of porn parodies. Keep an eye out for “Batman XXX: a Porn Parody,” “The Addams Family XXX: a Porn Parody,” “Zorro XXX: a Porn Parody,” and “The Green Hornet XXX: a Porn Parody.”

Yes, even The Green Hornet.

    I know that some people find this irritating, but I actually enjoy them. They are much easier to put on in a party situation and to bring up in a vanilla environment and have people start thinking/talking about non-vanilla things!!

    @thePrototype: It’s not the quality, it’s the quantity. It’s hard to be excited about a series that has a new release seemingly every other week.

    They can be fun, although there is a bit of glut in the market right now. When they do Family Matters XXX, I’m probably stepping away from this.

    But Vivid’s got the right idea. There have been erotic movies based on those franchises before, so they can take advantage of that and look a little different. Personally, I can’t wait for Batman XXX.
