“The Girlfriend Experience”: The Sex Work Perspective

I think a lot of the problem with Sasha’s portrayal of the escort in this movie was the writing. The screenwriter obviously relied on stereotypes when he(?) wrote this part. People are dissing her performance, when I think the primary cruxt of the problem is the writing sucks. Sasha’s never been an escort, so she couldn’t really understand what the job is about and how many of us actually do the work.

I haven’t seen the movie itself, only bits and pieces of it, so I can’t comment too much on it at this point, though.
