To be honest, the idea of assless pantyhose leaves us more confused than turned on—but Sasha Grey has the amazing ability to make just about anything seem like a good idea.

    It saddens me that Sasha comes off as a bitch in her Gawker interview. She sounds like every other “feminist” on college campuses nationwide. The ones that are doing it to be “extreme.”

    There are eloquent feminists, and she may be one of them, but her interview was not a good one.

    Oh, and more on point. No one can make that look good. No one.

    @Lux Alptraum: To each their own. It just seemed like she wasn’t willing to answer the easier questions, and instead gave blanket/pre-packaged answers. My wife felt the same, but in her smarter then me way.

    @kcquestor: I find that her inclusion of a woman directed film was specifically to seem edgy. As if it is amazing that women can direct.

    @Conrad:

    Come on now, Sasha picked “Escape from New York” as her favorite film. That might be calculated to win indie cred, but it’s not what I’d call pretentious. I’ve also had the opportunity to speak to her in person about film, and I’m sure that her enthusiasm for Godard and other champions of European art-cinema is entirely unfeigned.
