Miss California Explains Her Topless Photos

We know you’ve all been wondering how a delicate, innocent flower like Carrie Prejean could possibly have wound up posing for topless photos. Well, she’s got an explanation: it wasn’t her fault!

See, the photos were taken on a windy day, in between other photos, and she wasn’t aware that she was being snapped with her breasts out! And what’s more, they were unauthorized!

To be honest, her explanation isn’t as farfetched as it sounds—especially since, at present, we haven’t actually seen the uncensored versions of the photos, and there’s no guarantee that the photos are that scandalous (TMZ is known to be liberal with the stars, you might say). And we gotta say—homophobic though she may be, we really feel bad for Carrie Prejean. No one should have to do this much explaining for some beyond softcore modeling photos.

I don’t feel bad for her. If she wasn’t trying to convince America that she is the ideal of a Christian (which she isn’t, so she should really stop trying) she wouldn’t be making as big of a deal out of these pictures.

Case in point: Rihanna. Not the martyr Christian thing but the whole keeping mum after nude pictures are released thing.

@Lux Alptraum: That’s true, two wrongs never make a right. And these pictures are far from scandalous, but celebrity nude pictures never really are too scandalous.

@hodayathink is looking for a white 20-something porn actress who loves 70s R&B: While I agree that nobody would have known about her if she hadn’t acted like a bigot for the past few weeks, once she did and she became a household name I feel like these pictures would have come out anyway. She was suddenly very famous and TMZ makes their money off of exploiting very famous people.

Nik Ricci on MSNBC? Wonders never cease… But maybe I shouldn’t be surprised since it’s very possible that Contessa Brewer is moonlighting on TMZ. (Yes, I watch the show. &, yes, one of the first woman to whom I spanked it was Ms Brewer, in her early years as weekend anchor at TMJ4 in Milwaukee.)

Homophobic? As far as I am aware, she didn’t actually disparage homosexuals. She just explained her beliefs about marriage — which, by the way, are identical to Obama’s stated beliefs.

Do I agree with her? No. But I don’t think it makes her homophobic.

I think Jon Stewart said it best: I cannot believe that a beautiful young woman who wants to be a model would allow herself to be photographed like that by what appears to be a professional photographer. How dare she! . . . these photos would take away from the dignity of the bikini walk that she is required to do to win their competition. Sexy photo slut!
