“The Girlfriend Experience” Now Available On PPV And VOD

Dying to see Sasha Grey‘s mainstream acting debut—and can’t imagine waiting for another two and a half weeks? You’re in luck: “The Girlfriend Experience” is already out on PPV and VOD. Wait no more!

We’re not so good with TVs, so you’re on your own if you want to find the film on PPV. But we did manage to track down the film on Amazon VOD. For $9.99 (for a three day rental), it seems like a pretty good deal to us (but then again, we live in New York, where seeing a film in the theater costs $12.50 plus your firstborn child).

  • Come a little Miroslav Klose You’re My Kind of Man

    Not having seen the film, I cannot offer this with any certainty, but I am getting a sense of this as Sasha’s Eight Mile. She has taken a leading (mainstream) film role, portraying something of herself (though as with Marshall’s B-Rabbit, enough separation from the biography of the star so as not to become slogged in the great black mark on Courtney Love’s acting career (“playing oneself”)), but I don’t necessarily see her going on the more roles in non-porn films. I think it’s more to challenge herself, show that she can hack it, than to broaden her career opportunities. Will I still watch, though? Of course.

    As to NYC theatres, you do have ginger-ale available at the concession stand, so I think that makes up the for exorbitantly priced ticket.
