PSA: Sex Workers Are People Too

You don’t have to tell us twice that sex workers are people (what else would they be, mountain lions?)—but for those who haven’t gotten the message yet, Audacia Ray has made this PSA.

Somewhat reminiscent of those “I’m a PC” ads, Ray’s video reminds us that just because someone makes their living using their sexy bits, that doesn’t mean that they don’t have regular, ordinary lives just like the rest of us. Maybe as follow up, she can make a video about how sex work is real work—you know, something to educate those who assume it’s just lying around in your panties all day (really, people, that’s what’s know as blogging.).

Sex workers work REALLY hard for their shekels. Why aren’t they treated as well as anyone else is because of the attitudes of prudish people who have problems with their own bodies and minds.

Now is there any way I can worship at the toes of the bacon loving tall girl? >_>

Audacia Ray is just awesome- it’s great to see something like this.

And yes, I think we should all chip in and create a Bacon Donation Fund for Dylan, because she deserves it :)

My cat Fungi is very proud of me and the retarded amount of money I spend from work on spoiling her. And that I shout her out in PSAs.

This is a great thing to see! I have 2 friends who are sex workers and they are 2 of the most normal and grounded women I know, plus they really enjoy this job. One had worked in accounting and just tired of the corporate world, especially after escorting every now and again. I am glad to count them as friends and to hear their own unique perspective on their work, the industry and society’s perception of it all…

    How about:

    Cougars, bears, stallions and foxes?
