    This movie was fucking stupid!! This just proves how dumb todays audience is as well as the lack of talent in Hollywood. This was not even a good sex scene either. Shit, she can at least sit on his lap if she is pretending to fuck him rather than make it obvious she’s not.

    It was a strange sex scene for this kind of movie, with a bizarre choice of music. I don’t remember if she left her boots on in the comic book! I thought it was kind of like a soft porn scene.

    The music was just so bad. I liked her dr Manhattan three-way better.

    The sex scene was bad but I can accept that it was made tongue-in-cheek, that it was nerd fantasy sex.

    I also thought the movie was awful and I definitely ‘got it’ (there’s not much to ‘get’ in the movie, perhaps the novel offered more) and definitely didn’t like ‘Spiderman 3′. I didn’t read the graphic novel and I shouldn’t have had to to watch and enjoy the movie and I doubt that’s what the filmmakers were shooting for (just pleasing the already existing fans). Bad dialogue, no characterization, no explanation of the world as it was (why did the Comedian kill JFK??), and choppy plot that I could tell was a result of trying to stay true to the novel’s original form.

    Is it just me or does this look exactly like the sex scene in 300? I think Snyder’s uninspired when it comes to straight sex, if you know what I mean. ;-)

    Yup. To nearly all of the above. Fantasy nerdgeek sex, &c. But I wish– I think– using Jeff Buckley’s sublime avant-la-letter post-emo cover rather than Leonard’s original version might have lifted (ahem) tenderized the mood…
