Too Hot For The Superbowl: PETA’s Banned Ad

PETA’s known for pushing boundaries, what with their radical vegetarian views and edgy use of naked women, but we never thought we’d see them make an ad hot enough to get banned from the Superbowl.

And yet they have: “Veggie Love”—and ad celebrating the joys of vegetarian sex—was deemed far too lascivious for primetime. Specifically, NBC objected to the following shots:

- licking pumpkin
- touching her breast with her hand while eating broccoli
- pumpkin from behind between legs
- rubbing pelvic region with pumpkin
- screwing herself with broccoli (fuzzy)
- asparagus on her lap appearing as if it is ready to be inserted into vagina
- licking eggplant
- rubbing asparagus on breast

Well, someone was paying close attention to that ad….

As a vegetarian I am going to studiously avoid other vegetarians in looking for sex partners from now on. Pesticides. No thanks.

A sexy girl holding vegetables is a no-no, but a 60-year old man talking about his erections is a go. Interesting choice NBC.

There’s nothing I like better than tucking into a nice turducken with pork medallions while wearing a chinchilla cock warmer and laughing my ass off at the idiocy and social terrorism exacted by P.E.T.A.

    Wrong.
“Studies show vegetarians have better sex”
This is bunk. I’d actually like to see a correlation there. The past year has showne a marked increase in vegan groups promoting highly sexually charged material as a reason to not eat meat (irony much?). Why are they trying to sell a (potentially) healthy lifestyle with the lure of hot masturbation? Have they really run out of excuses for their ludicrous behavior?

Though there are vegetarian and vegan diets which offer complete nutritional needs for men and women of all ages, there are often individual deficiencies in various vitamins and minerals, notably iron and zinc. A zinc deficiency is correlated to low testosterone production, and negatively effects the sex drive of men and women. Likewise, low protein diets lead to the inhibition of production of sex hormones, which leads to vastly surpressed sex drive.

Is it any surprise that a poor diet lacking in protein and essential minerals will lower sex drive? It’s the bodies way of conserving energy and preventing ill, weak and addlebrained individuals from reproducing. If you aren’t smart enough to eat a healthy diet, you’ll want to make fewer babies (or at the very least, be less inclined and able to perform in order to pull it off). Those rare and fortunate few, however, who have found a good balance of veggies, and occasional fish will be having some pretty hot sex no doubt.

I have no personal qualms with anybody’s choice of diet (unless it’s people), but I find the extreme methods of groups like PETA, for example, absolutely laughable. They have perverted their message and taken the cause too far. I really can’t take them seriously anymore, and would actually laugh in the face of anyone who had the audacity and decreased mental capacity to admit they were a member of PETA.

I always thought that PETA meant “People Eating Tasty Animals.”

But seriously, I have to concur with everything Beautiful Agony said. I’ve had friends who supposedly knew how to prepare a nutritious Vegetarian diet, but were chronically ill – one was on the verge of kidney failure. Literally, their doctors had to tell them to “grow up” and introduce meat into their diets. Once they did, they miraculously got well.

I don’t know about vegetarians having better sex, but they do tend to taste better in my experience.

On the other hand, if you’re too weak to bounce around and have sex, it doesn’t really matter what your fluids taste like, huh?

This is exactly how making dinner goes down in my home.

where’s the dudes sticking veggies in their ass?! every football fan i’ve ever fucked has liked (at least)a finger in the ass, don’t tell me those superbowl fans would cringe at a little beeebie carrot!

PETA has never been egalitarian when it comes to the “I’d rather go naked than…” campaign and now this. I’m glad this was banned from network TV. I don’t get the previous commenter’s position of “sexy girl holding vegetables is a no-no, but a 60-year old man talking about his erections is a go”. There are sexy women everywhere on TV…

Oh thank you PETA for giving meat-eaters yet another excuse to tell me I’m unhealthy brainwashed etc. :P

For the record the boy eats meat I don’t. I usually wear him out.
