From Beauty Queen To Porn Queen: The Kelli McCarty StoryWell, here’s something you don’t see everyday: former Miss USA and TV actress Kelli McCarty has shot her very first porno for Vivid Entertainment. The movie (titled “Faithless”) will be released on February 4.

With all the talk of pornstars crossing out of porn and into the mainstream, it’s somewhat of a shock to see a mainstream star (well, one who’s not Evan Seinfeld) crossing into porn. How’d the whole thing go down?

“I enjoy acting, and I really like sex,” McCarty said. “This was the perfect opportunity to combine two of my passions. I approached Vivid with the idea of shooting a film with a sexy but interesting storyline, and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of control I was given throughout the production process. I am very pleased with the final edit of ‘Faithless,’ and I just may do another adult film.”

Wait, she approached Vivid? Kelli McCarty, you are totally our hero. Now can you just make it so we can watch the hardcore trailer for your movie without giving up our credit card number? Cause that would be super swell.

    I may be showing my age and/or preference for entertainment, but wasn’t this girl in the soap opera Passions? I believe she had a storyline involving an ape (yes, an actual ape) that was taking care of her aging mother while simultaneously falling in love with her. Or maybe the mother. I can’t really remember.

    Somehow, this just doesn’t seem all that amazing to me. While her career has some (moderately) bright spots, she hasn’t done anything truly standout. Approaching Vivid is also a very “safe” move, considering they are pretty much the de facto “mainstream” of the porn world. This seems about right.

    Of all the actresses I’d like to see doing porn (who I could imagine might actually do it), she isn’t even in the top 100.

    I was more excited with Chloë Sevigny’s blowjob scene in The Brown Bunny, than this. Vivid stuff leaves me dry and completely unimpressed.

    I don’t know about the Showtime stuff, but she used to do a lot of kids TV shows apparently. I’d like to see the hardcore trailer too without a CC. Also, is that bikini pic recent? I mean she’s nearly 40 now and I can’t imagine that is what she currently looks like.
