Since not all young woman are tenderly deflowered by their high school sweetheart, a Miss Hyacinthe Phypps teamed up with illustrator Edward Gorey in 1965 to instruct on what should be done in the significantly less comfortable situations that are significantly more likely to occur. Hilarity ensues.
