Yesterday we told you that Sasha Grey had been cast as the lead role in “The Girlfriend Experience”; little did we know, the movie had already started filming–and, of course, being stalked by the paparazzi. Catch of glimpse of Sasha on the set of what could very well be her big break in the world of mainstream film.   • Come a little Miroslav Klose You’re My Kind of Man

    While it remains that Sasha Grey is portraying a sex-worker in her mainstream picture debut, she is the female lead, so I think this distinction — from, say, Traci Lords’s cameo(s) in John Waters’s productions, or Stormy Daniels & Nautica Thorn giving lappers in Knocked Up (& about that, I always wonder how the “sensitivos” in Apatovia have managed to swing their soft touch with the ladies while being old-fashioned porn consumers) — is rather important. It shows how twenty years time can change the paradigm in film, the strict boundary (with broad DMZ) between art &/or commercial work & sex films. Maybe there is a chance that Dashiell’s parting thoughts prove not merely hope, but prescience.

    i love sasha…IN PORN….but she is a HORRIBLE actress. There are a lot of girls in porn that actually can act and would fit the role much better in my opinion. she is much too cold to be a GFE type girl. i’ve spent money on call girls and they are, for the most part, very open, & friendly (at least in front of me) and not the morose type of woman sasha is (or at least has come off as in what i’ve seen). i hope it’s a good movie though. good to see ANY porn actresses get mainstream work, whether its Stormy in “Knocked Up” and “40 Year Old Virgin”, Jenna Haze in “Superbad”, and Ryder Skye, Monica Mayhem and Roxy DeVille in “Sex and the City”
