Lesbians Demand Better Porn … And We Provide It! (Sorta)

A recent website poll–as scientific a study as one can get–reveals that lesbians are not thrilled with the state of girl-on-girl action in their porn. Believe it or not, porn companies tend to cater to straight dudes, so even though 62% their output contains scenes of girls going wild on other girls, it’s not exactly what turns real lesbians on. They want a little bit of foreplay, extended oral sex, and someone who actually knows where the clit is. (Good luck with that!) All too often you have to deal with the porn you have, not the porn you want–but with a little extra effort sometimes you can find what you’re looking for. So in the interest of helping our frustrated lesbian friends–and encouraging pornographers everywhere to cater to more tastes–we’ve tried put together a roundupof some the best smut of the girls and for the girls that we know of. Hey, it was the least the straight part of this operation could do.

    A great resource for lesbian – actual lesbian, not godawful straight-guy porn – videos are the “5-star rated” movies from lezlovevideo.com.

    Granted that a certain amount of what they sell are still straight-guy porn, but there’s a lot of WONDERFUL stuff from Girlfriend Films and Triangle Films and any number of amateur productions as well.

    Not to sound like I’m advertising for them or anything, but you guys left
    out No Fauxxx (and their sister sites), Fatale Media (come on, you even
    posted an interview with Nan Kinney not too long ago), and the Cyber Dyke
    network. There are also a host of individual photographers who do work of
    interest to the queer female audience. Emilie Jouvet, Heather Corinna, and
    Michael Rosen are a few who come to mind.

    I used to have a blog about this subject, but then I ran out of material to
    post about and it disintegrated :)

    Hell, while we’re sharing suggestions, might I suggest Sharing is Sexy [sharingissexy.org] ? This quote “All too often you have to deal with the porn you have, not the porn you want” made me think immediately of our “mission” at Sharing is Sexy, which says “In looking at most mainstream porn, we don’t see ourselves and our friends.
