“The Best Hand Job In Town”

An Elgin, Illinois, car wash recently caused a bit of a kerfuffle by advertising their machine-free towel dry service as “the best hand job in town.” Even more amusing than the hysterical reaction of the townsfolk–or that the local paper can’t bring themselves to say the offending phrase–is the owner’s defense that this is standard industry “lingo” and if you don’t believe her then you morons should just Google it. Well, we didn’t, so we did and you know what? She’s right! So does that mean “hand job” is just a part of boring everyday business jargon … or do all car wash owners simply have the same sick sense of humor? Check out our rogue’s advertising gallery below and decide for yourself.

Well, she does seem to be the only one with a busty lady squirting a water hose at her tits. She’s overtly sexual with it, so I’d imagine that’s why people disapprove. You can avoid weird conversations with your 10 year old if the advert. is like the others shown. Maybe that’s the stodgy teacher in me?

@PCBHo: Just to be clear, that’s not the Elgin sign. (We couldn’t find that one) Just proof that it’s been done before.

And it’s still tamer than any ad from American Apparel.

ahhhh…. thanks for clarifying. and I don’t shop at American Apparel. But I think that’s because I don’t know if they sell my size. I’m not terribly moral. Wait, maybe I am. I don’t shop at the Wal-Marts. Just saying earlier that I can see why parents of almost-old-enough-to-get-dirty-humor aged kids wouldn’t like it.
