2008_05_01_palfrey.jpgThanks to everyone who wrote in with the sad news that “DC Madam” Deborah Palfrey has apparently committed suicide after being convicted last month of running a prostitution service, money laundering and racketeering. We had a feeling her case would get a lot stranger before it was all over, but we didn’t quite think it would end like this; alleged client Senator David Vitter, meanwhile, is still alive.   • Come a little Miroslav Klose You’re My Kind of Man

    While the oft-suggested Cheney had her offed (before she could reveal him as the highest-profile client of her agency) theory is oh, so appealing to my leftist leanings, I would have to think facing prosecution & probably jail time, especially at a more advanced age, could be quite depressing, distressing, &/or otherwise unbearable (for selfish & non-so-selfish reasons), so suicide does not seem beyond the pale. But good luck convincing those on the left who think Ms Pelfrey was murdered — they’re the same who think Hillary killed Vince Foster.
