2008_04_25_playboy2.jpgWe’ve blogged this sort of thing before, but you can never have enough sites that have centerfold scans of every Playboy Playmate from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Seriously, you can never have enough because they tend to get shut down pretty quickly, so grab ‘em while you can. (fishki.net, via thighswideshut.org)

    Hmm, so after a few minutes of research it seems that Playboy didn’t start showing pubic hair in the centerfold until the late seventies. Wow…

    @Buck_Naked: Actually, Wikipedia says that the first Playboy centerfold to show pubic hair was December 1969′s Gloria Root … but only barely.

    “Researching” the pictures was more rewarding than consulting wikipedia ;)

    Playboy itself had a compilation of PMOYs from the 80s and 90s that was fascinating for watching the evolution of pubic hair. I think it was the late 90s before the PMOY was fully shaved.

    If they had reversed the trends they could have shown more nudity much earlier…
