Of course you already know that Ed Wood is best known as the master director of classic sci-fi and sexual horror flicks, like “Plan 9 From Outer Space” and “Necromania.” (No, we don’t have any copies left.) But did you know he was also a novelist? Yes, he penned the classic “boy meets girl, boy takes girl to graveyard in the middle of the night, boy and girl are sadistically tortured by the dancing undead slaves of the Ruler of the Dark” love story, also known as “Orgy of the Dead.” Naturally, his screenplay was turned into a movie where Ed’s mixture of high camp, big bosomed lady vamps, and awesome fight scenes could be better appreciated. Check out this scene where the tension is so thick you could cut it like a rubber kitchen knife cuts bra straps.
