In the age of digital cameras, self portraits (especialy naked ones) have become commonplace — even if way too many of them are of the relatively uninteresting, hastily composed MySpace profile photo variety. Photographer Marquita Norwood, however, is an artist with a penchant for photographing herself in the nude who manages to raise the genre to a whole new level: her work has so much style and artistry that it’s almost easy to forget she’s the photographer as well as the model. After all, our own naked bathroom mirror pictures never look as good as her does. (Of course, she might just naturally look better naked than we do … but that’s another story.)
